Description
A German antique cigarette case which displays a hand painted enamel scene of a naked lady with a monkey. The monkey appears to be fanning the lady with a peacock feather. The colours of turquoise with deep reds and browns are fantastic and the subtle skin tones are superbly painted. The enamel shows little signs of wear as does the metal case. The spring button release catch opens the case to reveal two compartments, each with the original straps intact. One side has engraved text which reads TEKRAWALLA BRAND and MADE IN GERMANY. The left has embossed text ALPACCA and a symbol. Cases like this are becoming more difficult to find especially in this condition.
