This
sterling silver thimble has a lovely enameled band with handpainted
pansies over a white ground. It
has the Ketcham & McDougall logo
inside the top as
well as the size
(6) and "Sterling". The rim
is scalloped in the Louis XV style.
A
thimble
with a similar enameled band by KMD is shown on p. 77 (plate 61) of Gay
Ann Rogers' book American
Silver Thimbles.
It's in mint condition with no holes, needling, chips or other
damage. The enamel is perfect.The
