Main Description

An impressive pair of antique hand painted enamel and 18 carat yellow gold cufflinks; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections

These fine and impressive antique enamel cufflinks have been crafted in 18 ct yellow gold.

The anterior links have a cut cornered rectangular form, ornamented with hand painted enamel panels.

The enamel panel displays the coat of arms* of an escutcheon party per fess, firstly St George\'s cross with an erect sword and second a fould anchor, all supported by a sea lion bearing a trident erect.

The coat of arms is surmounted with the crest of HMS Lutine in full sail and the lower portion incorporates the motto \'Fidentia\' - Confidence.

The 18 ct gold cufflinks articulate to the reverse via a five link chain, securing with a torpedo style fastening.

Each of the torpedo style fastenings are hallmarked with the maker\'s mark for \'B H Joseph & Co\' (BHJ), the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18 ct gold mark (18), the Chester town mark and the date letter for 1904 (D).

* This illustration is the known as the Fidentia trademark, owned by The Corporation of Lloyd\'s. This mark was registered with the description of use for telecommunications gateway and insurance services.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.

These impressive antique cufflinks are fine quality ornamented with hand painted enamel panels.
