ANTIQUE ENGLISH 9K GOLD GOLDEN TOPAZ & SEED PEARL HALLEY\'S COMET PIN c1835

An antique English, solid 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts) pin; beautifully modelled as a comet, and set with a row of seed pearls surrounding a foiled golden topaz. Probably made to commemorate the passing of Halley\'s Comet in 1835.

So beautiful, lovely quality & very collectable...very wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1835. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:Comet 26 x 10mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 1.5grams.
