Antique Floral Wood Frame W/charcoal Drawing Of Woman For Sale
This listing is for an antique framed portrait of a young woman. The gilt frame measures 19.75"x24", the portrait is about 15.5"x19.5". I can't figure out what the floral part of the frame is made from, it looks like wood, and is very detailed. The gold paint has wear. We took the portrait out of the frame, and I believe it is a charcoal drawing. When I rubbed the tip of my finger on the black, some came off on it. It's very beautifully done. The paper is very brittle, and as you can see in the second photo, a small piece broke off, and we have taped it back in place. The speck you see on the picture are tiny pieces of the paper. I don't want to remove the picture from the frame again, for fear of damaging it further. There is a name written on the back of the backing, but I can't tell what it says, it almost looks like Leaving. Shipping is based on 20 pounds, packed weight for a large size package.
