Brief note about Brittany Style Antique French Furniture

The Celtic roots of the Brittany region of France are manifest in the furniture produced in this region. The Breton style is as distinctive as its special culture and easily recognizable due to its very ornate carvings. Historically, the local economy in Brittany was heavily dependent on fishing and maritime activities, so one often finds circles and ship\'s wheels as a common decorative motif in the Brittany Style of antique furniture.

Large, 49”height (over 4 ft.) x 33” x 3”;

OVAL mirror, 27.5” x 18”.

Condition:

This mirror and frame are in good condition for their age, with normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections. The mirror reflection is good with minimal tiny age appropriate dots/markings (see photos). I always recommend replacing old hangers and chains with new, strong mirror hooks and wire. I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as an integral part of the description and I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to offerding. Please keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character...NOT for like-new condition!!!
