~~This is a GORGEOUS example of a Frenchhand-carved oakbookcase or Hunt cabinet~~~just in from our recent French container! We are lucky enough to have obtained two near matching bookcases in this shipment with subtle differences mainly on lower hand carved doors. Imagine these cabinets on either side of a fireplace! This cabinet is the one on the right in the last photos showing both cabinets. This listing is for ONE (1) cabinet, but please contact us for a combined price if you\'re interested in both.
This cabinet is exquisitely carved with Black Forest elements~~~rabbits and pheasants on the lower cabinet door adorned by floral, leaf and nut accents, rosettes and ribbon carvings~~~the photos speak for themselves! Original wavy glass

door is in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks. Beautifully carved crown frieze adorned by lions mask corners with brass rings!

Lower cabinet has a hand-cut, dovetailed drawer with original brass hardware. Upper interior cabinet has two (2) removable carved edge shelves. Lower cabinet has one shelf, and we have left the floral paper in place to be removed or kept at new owner\'s discretion. Space between each of the upper shelves is 13\" tall~~~ample height for books, plates or other antique collectibles. Original key is included. Hard-to-find slim width~~~only 33\" wide! This cabinet has a beautiful rich oak patina. High quality,detailed craftsmanship of the era. This would make a wonderful family heirloom for today and for future generations. So
