This box is a beautiful yellow opaline color with white interior. It is hand-decorated with raised gold and white enameling on both the top and bottom sections. It has ormolu/brass mounts, and the lid closes with a nice snap. The top is decorated with cherubs or putti frolicking on what appears to be a bed of freshly harvested wheat or straw.Excellent detail in scene.Cherub scene is inexcellent antique condition, little or no wear toother decoration. Base diameter about 2.75 inches. Top diameter about 2.25 inches. Overall height about 1.5 inches. Openings on lid and base are about 2.25 inches in diameter. Appears to have a polished pontil on bottom if you get the light right.
