Antique French Portico Clock Drum Case, Movement, And Gridiron Pendulum For SaleThis case, movement, pendulum were included with another clock for myself. I'm selling this for parts. Would be great for someone restoring a portico clock, or you could find a case and restore the face. The brass drum has a piece of paper in the back door, and one of two brass balls on the back door is missing. The dial bezel had some great machined detailed. The dial, signed Balthazard / Paris, has some obvious damage. There is one mounting bracket at the top-rear of the case. Measurements are 5" wide and 4 1/4 deep. The movement is a typical French roulant with count wheel striking on a nice bell. Unmarked except for Made in France and another mark on the front plate that I cannot identify. I don't know the operating condition, but I will say that when I turned the hour post the clock did strike, although I can't guarantee it will for you. Selling everything as is for parts. The mounting pins are missing that hold the movement to the posts behind the dial in the case. The gridiron, temperature compensating pendulum is 9.5" long fully extended, and the bob measures 3 1/4" wide. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
