Antique French? Blue Milk Glass Handpainted Powder Box, Victorian Era:
I'm guessing that this is French. There are no maker's mark on the piece. It's nicely painted with the couple on the top and a portrait of a woman on the front. As you can see the bottom of the piece is white and there's an hombre effect that turns into powder blue. There are no chips or cracks. The piece closes tightly. However, in pic #4 the pin is not all the way through the hinge. This will occasionally make the lid go off kilter, but aligning the top to the base corrects this. You can see a bit of daylight between the lid and base in pic #5. The piece measures approx. 3.5" across the top by approx. 3" tall.
