Attractive collectible antique French blue Opaline glass triple egg box. Dated to mid-late 19th century. Made of beautiful blue colour in form of egg in the nest with bunch of wheat hanging above, a delightful decorative gilt bronze mounts. The boxes have hinged lids and \'S\' shaped clasps, hinges and clasps work properly - securely tight.The box stands 6.5\" -- 15 cm high tothe very top; each glass egg measures 2\" - 5 cm high; 1.5\" -- 4 cm in diameter at the opening.
It is in very goodto excellent condition considering the age. No chips or cracks. Gilt shows slight wear and few tarnished spots, otherwise just fine.
