Antique French end of day swirl graniteware enamelware extra large pitcher:

Extremely rare antique \'end of day\' swirl enamelware graniteware pitcher. Of an extra large size it is in a beautiful rich combination of red, blue, black and white and with a thick coating of enamel it still has a glossy shine. The main body is in very good condition overall, especially taking into account it\'s age and everyday usage. There are some scratches on the main body and above the handle and a couple of areas of oxidation where there has been enamel loss. The worst damage is sadly a small hole. The handle has a small dent in it making it a little off centre, however this adds to it\'s primative charm! The interior is in good condition as is the base which is unusual as it is the same finish as the rest of the pitcher - usually they are just the one colour of white or black. A fine example of this early enamelware and a must for a collector. Please study the photographs and use the zoom as part of a fuller description. This is quite heavy!
