Antique Georgian ring. Gold emeralds, diamonds and turquoise. Made in England, circa 1820.

Measurements: US ring size approximately 6 3/4. Weighs 1.5grams.

A small ring that packs a lot of punch. The floral theme, so beloved by Georgians is created with a pair of flowers, their stems forming the shoulders of the shank and with a pair of turquoise cabochons between them in the center of the bezel. The flowers consist of central emeralds of a magnificent deep green that could only have come from Colombia. They are surrounded by rose cut diamonds, forming the petals of the flowers. The \'stems\' of the flowers, also rose cuts in the form of foliage and little branches that constitute the shoulders of the shank. The diamonds are set in silver, which is pulled up to enclose and hold them. The emeralds are colette set in gold.

The ring is made of gold, which tested at least 14k (acid tested) and the diamonds set in silver (as is to be expected in Georgian jewelry).

Condition: good considering the age of the ring. Minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures.
