Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Teaspoon X 6 London? C1802 Bright Cut Design:
Set of 6 Sterling Silver teaspoons with bright cut decoration to the stems and truncated rats tails to the back of the bowls. There are hallmarks to the back of each spoon tho' with cleaning over the years some are significantly worn so as to be unreadable! there would appear to be 4 marks per spoon - the Lion passant mark, date letter, George 3rd head and a makers mark. No evidence of the assay office mark, tho the remaining marks would indicate a date of 1802 with the assay office being London. The makers mark is the most illegible with only one spoon having an even vaguely readable mark - ending in L (possibly SL?). Apart from the wear to the marks from cleaning over the years the spoons are in very good overall useable condition and measure approx 4.9 inches long with a total combined weight of approx 72g. Please see my other items for more interesting bits and bobs. Buyer to pay shipping. Payment terms at present, cheques in Sterling, Paypal, other by arrangement. No quibble refund if item not as described and returned within 7 days. Good luck!
