This is a beautiful and sparkling set that is a unique example of victorian convertible jewelry. The set is comprised of three individual components that can be worn in a variety of ways which was done to maximize the use and design of a single piece of jewelry. The shortest bracelet is from the Georgian era and has black dot paste and the other two pieces do not. The other two pieces are also just slightly larger, not only longer but just ever so slightly larger even though the design is identical. It is estimated that during the Victorian era the other two bracelets were made to match the Georgian piece. The necklace can be worn at two different lengths, the shorter necklace length you can wear a matching bracelet together, or you can have a couple of bracelets stacked together on the wrist. The setting is well made with a substantial weight and feel and has an etched design at the back which is a subtle yet nice design detail. The links move and pivot fluidly so the set has a nice drape when worn. The links have an ornate floral and leaf design that is accented with paste stones that range in size from 1.5mm to 4.5mm in diameter. There are no stones missing and they all look original to the piece. The victorian era jewelry has a slightly yellower cast to the paste than the georgian era link. This is noticeable on inspection when they are compared. The stones are bright and sparkly and give beautiful dimension and light to the floral design. The tongue of the clasp on the Georgian era piece is a replacement and not original. Overall this is a beautifully made and sparkling, antique convertible necklace and bracelet set, that is from the Georgian and Victorian era and is in Excellent condition.
