Antique German Porcelain Meissen Era Indian Princess Allegory Native American:
This beautifully hand modeled and decorated early to middle 1800’s white glazed porcelain figure inspired by blanc-e-Chine measures 10 ½” tall and boasts hand formed and applied flowers along with under-glaze porcelain chips/frit applied to her costume to lend a fur-like texture. As the images show, the piece is exceptional in appearance and MAY have a partial impressed mark on the bottom…or it may be a wave in the white glaze. You will note a shrinkage/firing flaw in the base; there are no cracks, chips, repairs or losses to the porcelain. The re-curve bow is pierced for a bronze wire which is gone.
