Antique German Snow Baby Nipped On Bum By Vicious Bear Pic 10.20a For Sale
Ok, Ok, I made the vicious part up. But he may be vicious. This is a Hertwig snow baby made in the 1920s or 30s. His face is quite similar to some other Hertwig small babies although some have eyebrows and some don't. I've seen this piece with the bear snowed and also unsnowed. An example of this piece is one of the first two pieces I ever owned, and many of you have heard that story. the piece measures 1.87" including the base.
This is an extremely good example. Not only is the bear snowed, the piece is relatively clean and the paint is in excellent condition! There is a tiny rub on the baby's right cheek, and that eyebrow isn't as long as the other. On a piece as small and good as this, those are quite minor flaws.
I guarantee the return of your purchase price if you are not happy with your item. Please ask any questions before you offer. I will combine purchases for shipping, but if you plan to offer on more than one piece, please email me and do not pay until you until you want me to mail pieces.
