Antique German Snow Baby Polar Bear Plays With Ball Pic 16.2b For Sale

This wonderful bear also arrived in at my home in the last boxes of pieces for me to sell. He is one of a set of three bears who play with balls, shown in Pic 16.2 of my book. The set was made by Hertwig in the 1920s or 30s. These bears are quite desirable because the great majority of snow baby polar bears just stand or walk. Here is an action polar bear! Stands a little under 1.5"There is some loss of paint, apparantly due to scuffing on the ball, but the piece is free of chips or cracks. The paint on his right hand seems to stop before the end of his hand, but that is a production flaw of sorts. Magnify the picture to see it.
