THIS GORGEOUS CLOCK WAS PURCHASED FROM AN ESTATE THAT BELONGED TO A CLOCK COLLECTOR. THIS ONE IS WAS HER VERY FAVORITE.AND I CAN SEE WHY. IT IS INDEED A GEM.
IT IS MADE FROM WALNUT, WITH A FAIRLY DARK STAIN, WHICH IS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. THERE IS SOME LIGHTER PIECES OF WOOD INLAID AROUND THE GLASS AND A PIECE AT THE BOTTOM.THE TOP AND BOTTOM CARVED PIECES, BOTH COME OFF. BEAUTIFULLY CARVED. LIONS HEAD AT THE TOP GLASS IS GOOD. THIS CHIMES ON THE HOUR AND HALF HOUR. MELLOW TONE.THIS CLOCK IS RUNNING. WE SET IT YESTERDAY AND IT HAS BEEN RUNNING SINCE. THE CHIME WERE NOT SET AS THEY SEEM TO GET JIGGLED DURING SHIPPING AND HAVE TO BE RESET. 43 x 15.5 x 7\" I HAVE SEEN VERY FEW OF THESE CLOCKS, AND NONE AS TALL, AND THEY DEMAND A HANDSOME PRICE. I AM STARTING IT AT A VERY LOW PRICE.HERE IS YOUR CHANCE FOR A TREASURE SUCH AS THIS TO HANG IN YOUR HOME AND BE PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE GENERATIONS.
