Antique Hokusai Japanese Woodblock Print Great Wave Off Kanagawa Mount Mt Fuji For Sale
I recently acquired an extensive antique Chinese/Asian collection. I am now listing the woodblock prints and art portion of this estate collection. Many rare woodblock prints from the one owner estate.
Up for sale is an original antique Katsushika Hokusai Japanese woodblock print dating from the early 20th century. This is the famous "Great Wave off Kanagawa" from the 36 Views of Mount Fuji series. The woodblock print is signed in the upper left corner. Woodblock print is in nice shape for its age. Has no tears, no holes, no creases, no folds, no water damage, no fauxing and no fading. Edge wear and appears it has been trimmed. Actual woodblock print measures approx. 8 1/8 by 10 1/8 inches. Very rare woodblock print and would look great framed. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 95 year estate of along time collector and from a smoke free home. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item(color is very nice. Good luck and feel free to email me with any questions.
