Up for consideration is an antique or vintage hand carved sculpture of Saint Roch (San Roque) of the Philippines. St. Roch is one of the more renowned saints in Catholic-majority Philippines. St. Roch was born in 1295 in Montpellier on the border of France. He was known for tending others who suffered the plague and had effected many miraculous cures. He himself came down with the plague and was banished to the forest. He would have died had a nobleman\'s dog not have brought him bread and licked his wounds to heal them. In art, St. Roch is often depicted revealing a wound on his thigh which was healed by the nobleman\'s dog. The sculpture is 12\" tall and 4\" wide and 2.5\" deep. It is in good condition. It was obtained from an estate sale so I do not know its age. It has a piece of old masking tape on the back with the words \"San Roque\" written on it. It also has an \"N\" carved on the back, most likely as the mark of the artist. It has a hook on back for hanging.

Unless otherwise stated, I will accept returns if the item is returned within 14 days of its initial receipt by buyer and if it is in the same condition as when sent. Upon receipt of a returned item, the buyer will be refunded the purchase price of the item less the cost of the initial shipping and insurance. The cost of returning the item shall be paid by the buyer.
