Up for sale is a fantastic and very unusual handmade lemonade stand with 4 African American dolls; 3 men and 1 woman. Their bodies are made of a bendable rubber, their shoes are metal and I believe their heads are made of hard rubber. 2 of the men have aprons painted onto their clothing. All of their hair is molded and painted black.
The lemonade stand is made from wood and has a piece of painted canvascovering it, which looks like a table cloth. There are 3 small wooden barrels--one reads, \'ice cold lemonade 10 cents,\' another says, \'Hires root beer 10 cents\' and the last says, \'pink lemonade 10 cents.\'
On the front of the stand it reads \'Get your cold drinks now and Peanuts Crackerjack pure.\'
There is a hard, marbleized, rubber ball attached to the lemonade barrel. The cash register has a cardboard Coca Cola sign on it.
This is a wonderful piece of folk art!

Size: The woman doll is 5.5\" tall while the men are about 6\" tall (if they were straightened out).

Condition: 2 dolls have crazing to their faces and one of those dolls has an indentation in its head. One doll is missing his hand and there is some pitting and cracks to the rubber bodies (all are stable). Clothing is a little dirty but has no holes or tears. The lemonade stand has some fading with green and white paint on the canvas cover, and the marbleized rubber ball is missing a piece from it. A Coca-Cola sign has been attached to the cash register with tape which has yellowed over time and the register looks like it may be missing a lever or two.
