Antique Hobbs Cranberry Opalescent Snowflake Pattern Finger Kerosene Oil Lamp:
Just out of a local house is this nice antique Cranberry Opalescent oil lamp. It was made by Hobbs glass around 1890. It is a finger lamp in cranberry with white "snowflake" pattern and has an applied clear glass handle. The handle has a multiple "squiggle" where it was applied.
The lamp measures about 10 3/4 inches high with the chimney. The lamp without chimney measures about 4 1/4 inches high to the top of the burner and about 5 1/4 inches at its widest including the handle. It has a period Plume and Atwood burner and an antique pearl top chimney. It has very good color and in excellent condition with only normal wear on the base consistant with its age and handling and some small chips on the bottom of the chimney. See photos.
Would make a nice addition to any collection.
