Here is a beautiful antique Italian pastoral landscape with a carved gilt gold Italian frame. The entire piece measures 22 x 26 ins. and the painting /canvas alone measures 16 x 20 ins. I do not see a signature and I have not taken the painting out of the frame to examine it more. The artwork is in good as is vintage condition with some crazing, some possible restoration. The frame is in good condition with some minor chips.The only history I have on this painting is it came from Florence, Italy.I believe this is a 1800s copy/rendition of a Renaissance style Italian landscape.It has some script on the back stretcher that I cannot make out as well, a pic is shown of that too.This painting is VERY heavy, the wood carved gilt frame is high quality.Perfect addition for your Italian,European,Traditional, Renaissance,and 16th,17th,18th,19th,20th century decors.
