This is for an antique Indian solid silver flower vase, circa 1900. Made of solid silver, with a tapering cylindrical body, with large flower petal form rim, and a circular domed support. The body is decorated with embossed and chased technique to depict houses, trees and foliage on a stipple-chased ground, and with a shield form cartouche, engraved with the original owners initials 'S.A.M'. This vase is unmarked, but tests as solid silver. It measures 13.2 cm in height and 8.1 cm in width. It weighs 79 grams or 2. 54 troy ounces. The condition is generally excellent, without damage or repair, the silver has the patina of age. Please see images.
