Japanese 12" Cloisonne Vase Meiji Period Dragon & Phoenix has Artists Mark NICE!
Description
For your consideration we have a wonderful19th century Japanese Cloisonne vase. Very intricate design. It has a fan mark in the enamel on the lower portion of vase.(see photo #8)Ifound reference to this mark being found on other pieces from this period but did not find who it was attributed to.
This impressive vase measures 12" tall and about 4 1/2" just below shoulder.
Condition is wonderful, there is just a hint of a bump to underside of lip. It has caused some very small fractures and light stain. As with most pieces from this era it does have light pitting to enamel when examined closely.
Difficult to find pieces from thisperiod in such nice condition.
Will display wonderfully.
