Antique Japanese Edo Period Carved Wood Netsuke Man With Scroll 1750-1800 Nr For SaleFrom a fine Paris collection we offer a wonderful, antique Japanese carved wood Netsuke from the late Edo period - circa 1750-1800.A standing figure of a man, possibly a monk, holding a scroll in both hands.Great, expressive facial features, the man's robes decorated with leaves, large string holes on the back show use and ware.The carving shows great character, it was definitely used and would make a great authentic addition to any collection.Material shows great age patina and wonderful wood grain.It measures 5.5 cm tall x 3 cm wide.Very good condition with visible ware - looks like a small restoration to the scroll.
