This is an antique hand-painted Sugar Bowl dated in the early 1800\'s. It has \"foreign\" stamped on the bottom which is indicative of pottery and Porcelain made during that time frame. On the front is a patriarcal figure or one that depicts a person to be worshipped or revered. It is intricately detailed and the painting on the bowl is raised. The bowl has a twisted bamboo handle which is also common to Japanese teapots and bowls of this era.The bottom of the bowl has a small crack; however, the bowl is water-tight and does not leak. The bowl measures 4 3/8\" in width, it is 3 3/4 \" tall and the opening is 2\" in diameter.x
