$395.00

Up for sale is a beautiful antique Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi woodblock diptych print dating from the mid 19th century. The Masugin publisher\'s seal stood for Masudaya Ginjiro, who\'s shop was in the Shiba district of Edo. The print was designed to be a hanging scroll and has the applied printed borders. It also has backing paper to support the print which I believe helped preserve the print. I was told the censor seal belonged to inspector Matsumura Genroku, which narrows down the date between 1843-1846. The British Museum has an impression of the same print. It measures 11\'\'x 30\'\' It appears in very good condition with signs of wear and age. Please refer to all photographs for condition.
