This estate piece is a beautiful green opalescent footed bowl made by the Jefferson Glass Company. This bowl is called their three toed (footed) Ruffles and Rings (with a daisy band). Made by Jefferson around 1906, this bowl stands on three scroll-like feet and it has a scalloped opalescent rim. The Ruffles and Rings bowls came in several rim/edge types. It has a design of four interlocking circles or rings, variegated curved ribbons and opalescent daisies along the top scalloped edge. The Jefferson Glass Company was started in 1900 in Steubenville, Ohio and after 1908 it was located in Follansbee, West Virginia. Jefferson sold many of its molds to the Northwood Glass Company in the early 1900’s – Ruffles and Rings being one of them. Northwood used this mold for its carnival glass version. Dimension/size – This bowl is right at 8” across at the rim and it stands right at 3” tall. It weighs about one pound three ounces.Condition – This bowl is in very good condition with no chips or cracks to report.
