This is a COPY of a 17" Antique Doll Pattern & her clothes.She reminds me of Hitty who lived 100 years in an attic.
Very detailed drawings and instructions to whittle this 17" wood doll complete withassembly details and illustrations. You could reduce the pattern on a copy machine to make her the size of Hitty.
Clothing patternsaretaken from the actual 1800s and include: Empire dress - can be made long or short Party dress Print dress
2 PetticoatsNOTE: There is one pattern piece for the bodice. The rest are straight cut pieces of fabric with instructions telling how to make them. Very simple to make these clothes.
Sugar pine is suggested as the wood to use for carving
These dolls were very popular in the early to mid 1800's.
This antique wooden doll, like other old dolls, was dressed,
coiffed in the style of her day, as an illustration for fashion-conscious ladies.
Her high comb tells us she was carved about 1810.
