Pair of Antique Olive Wood Shabbat Shabbos Candle Sticks
These were made by a Jewish artist in Jerusalem during the 1920's.
Done in the traditional early Bezalel style.
The word Jerusalem is inscribed in English around the top of each candlestick.
Signed on one base with asmall scene depicting a figure and a camel in front of an orange sunset.
Used to light Shabbat candles. Small amount of wax remains inside each candlestick.
Candlesticks have a detachable top piece. Made to be very compact, which meant for easy travel.
Threaded hole in base of each meant to allowthese to be attached to a larger candlestick if desired.
Each candlestick is 4" in diameter and 3 1/2" tall. Fits a 3/4" taper candle.
