Antique Kentucky Or Pennsylvania Rifle Barrel - 40 Caliber For Sale
I purchase this many years ago and had it mounted in a rifle that I assembled, a 40 cailber antique Kentucky or Pennsylvania or Kentucky rifle barrel 42 1/4" long.The barrelhas a deep dark brown patina with almost no pitting.It has had it's touch hole welded inside and out. Original blade site in front but no rear site, though the barrel has been prepped for one.I added 4 barrel wedges.I fitted an antiquebreech plug tap size 5/8"-11, length 2 1/4 by 7/16 wide and a little off center.The next owner can change it if they please.This barrel measures 1" across the flats at the breech and muzzle and 7/8" in the middle. It weighs 7 lbs, 3 oz. The bore has good rifling. Good luck!
