Antique Lace Embroidered Cotton Christening Gown .use For A Baby Doll's Dress ??:
A very pretty Victorian christening gown
from the turn of the century. Circa 1900. It has delicate handmade lace inserts and trims, with hand embroidered flowers on beautifully soft white cotton.
The condition, apart from needing a press, is good to fair. There is a small faint yellow spot near the embroidery covering an area of about 4cm, which is visible on the close up photo. This may bleach out? I've only washed it on a 40% cycle with no stain removers. There are half a dozen little pinholes on the back of the skirt, which are not very obvious.
This could be restored without too much effort and used for it's intended purpose as the material is very good, or it could be given to a number of projects, namely dolls clothing and collectors.39" long, 18" chest, underarm to cuff 5", across shoulders back 7"99p start !!
I combine postage on all purchases wherever possible..Check out my other items!
