You are offerding on a rare antique large format view camera.

This is a wooden 5” X 8” folding view camera. It is marked “E & H. T. Anthony & Co Manufacturers. 591. Broadway. N. Y.”. The wood is also stamped “Pat. Nov. 11.84. Pat. Mar. 28.82 & Feb. 20.88.”

This camera has a wooden frame with brass hinges and hardware. The bellows appear to be in good condition. Fully extended, this is 14 ¾” long, and 11 ½” tall. The brass portion of the lens is bright and clean. There is some tarnish and patina. The glass elements appear to be free from scratches, but they do appear to have mold or dirt on both the inside and the outside. The fixed portion of the lens is marked “AE Rapid”.

The ground glass has some dust but is not cracked or scratched. This also comes with the wooden piece that appears to be used to let light in to the lens. The wood on this piece is stamped “Amer. Optical Co Scovill M’F’G. Co. N. Y.”

This camera comes in a wooden case. The case is not marked and does not have a top handle, but it does have two working latches on the front. The brackets for the handle are intact, but the leather handle has ripped off.

This camera does have some wear and probably needs some restoration before it can be used. The wood does have some chipped areas but it is generally sound. The moving parts seem to work correctly.
