This is exceedingly RARE. I have not seen another like this in over 35 years of ownership. I got it from my L x 12\" W x 12\" Tall. With Double leather handles, double leather straps and buckles. Two top brass pull clasps, and push locking buttons. This thing is Fort Knox in leather. I have no keys. Imagine the history.

There are two Railroad stickers on the bottom. Last one dated in the early 1930\'s. However, this bag appears much older by observing the quality details, and the weight of the bag itself. Fully 12 POUNDS!

This superb antique vintage extra large leather doctor\'s bag, is made from HEAVY cowhide leather. It has been superbly crafted and is in EXCELLENT condition, for its vintage age.

Original owner\'s initials \"JBD\" is hand tooled near the handles with some flower scroll work. This was an expensive piece in the day.

For the age, I would rate the condition an 8 plus. All mechanisms work as intended. The straps are there, and the handles and buckles show little wear and work amazingly well. To be sure, these things are usually long gone, ripped, or ragged. Sure, there is some wear and abrasions, but that gives this bag patina and character. There are 3 leather snapped sleeves on the inside for small stuff.

To make this perfect, the leather needs a good cleaning of the dust and such and then moisturized with the product of your choice, as it shows some signs of dryness.

I\'ll let you do that part. You may want it just the way it is. This unique bag would make an amazing movie prop, staging piece, or conversation piece. It is literally a piece of history. Even the occasional scent of antique leather is unique.
