Description : Nicely carved and gilded carved wood opera scene with many figures some on horseback and others with weapons. The scene is quite three dimensional with fully carved figures throughout, the brick red and gilt surface is original and you can see a large single backboard that was used tomanufacture this, these large boards are becoming rarer and rarer every day as old growth trees are far and few between and many species are protected. The element is quite beautiful, it is large and will be the focal point of any room. The quality is very good and overall the high buyer should be very impressed and happy with their purchase.

Size : Measures 61" long by 24" tall by 7 1/2" deep.

Age : 19th C.

Condition : Good condition with some chips here and there, you can see over the years the back was repaired and shored up with some newer wood which can not bee seen once on display, this is an exceptionally rarecarving to still be quite complete like it is...youwill find some small chips, losses and such to some of the carving and minute elements missing. Otherwise this is a beauty guaranteed to impress.
