We are offering this Antique MORRA \" HOBNAIL MILK GLASS and STERLING SILVER \" INKWELL. The styling is really Classic. The form is round and shaped like a tapered bottle at the bottom. There is a Sterling lid and collar that extends under the lid and a Sterling base. Let\'s start at the top. The lid is round with a small ball finial. The hinge is a flat strap with a peened shaft. The bottom strap of the hinge is wade which allows the lid to move sideways slightly. This could easily be corrected if desired. The collar has 2 rows of embossed designs. The base has an embossed design that comes up the sides about 1/4\". The bottom is completely covered with Sterling Silver. The body is white milk glass with a hobnail and vertical ribbing all the way aroundThe physical size is 4 3/8\" tall by 2\" diameter at the waist by 1 13/16\" diameter at the bottom. The stamped marks on the bottom are MORRA with a copyright seal, STERLING and a pattern number of 9129. A beautiful and unique CLASSIC inkwell for any desk...............
