Here is a rare and unusual antique majolica humidor from the collection of our friends who must downsize. The full figure of an Indian in headress with a pipe forms the finial for the lid. it would appear that the tips of the feathers were chipped and reglazed. The handpainted face prtrait on the front is fantastic. The bottom is marked with two sets of incised numbers 8446 and 27 and a painted small number 16. About 4 1/4" square across the bottom and about 9" tall to top of finial.
