Antique Master 1640

Description: Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after Karel duJardin. Karel Dujarind (1622-1678) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and etcher. He spent two extensive periods in Italy, and his work is heavily influenced by this. Most of his paintings and landscapes have an Italianate setting. He was supposedly trained by Nicolaes Berchem, before going to Italy where he joined the Bentvueghels group.

Subject: Antique print, untitled. A portrait of three figures: a man, a woman and a child.

Condition: Very good, given age. Thin paper spot at top of head and in corners from removal of previous attachment, visible on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 5.4 x 6.3 cm. The image size is ca. 5.4 x 6.1 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 2.1 x 2.5 inch. The image size is ca. 2.1 x 2.4 inch.
