Up for offer is an antique medicine jar from the 1910 era that contained an opium cocktail that would make all your ailments go away. This 25 cent snake oil medicine was sold at the wild west traveling Indian medicine shows of the 1880-1920 era. Buffalo Bill Cody may have had his hands on these medicine sales also. Active ingredients was; Camphor, Myrrh, Capsicum,Oil of Cloves, Oil Sassafras, Sulphric Ether, Water, Opium1½\"0 of one grain, and alcohol 60%. The word Indian was outlawed on medicine bottles with the Federal Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906. The older Kickapoo Oil bottles had the word Indian on them.
This bottle is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks or real wear, there is some minor content residue haze.
