Antique Meriden Silver Plate Bride's Basket Bowl On Stand Victorian Jules Barbe:
This is a charming cased glass brides basket bowl on a silver plate stand. The bowl is pink on the inside, white on the outside and has an amber edge. It has gilded decoration on both the inside and out. The gilded decoration is in the style of and likely the work of Jules Barbe. The bowl is 11 ¼ inches across at the widest point and 4 ½ inches high. The bowl has a stamped mark on the bottom with for Meriden which likely corresponds to the base. The base is 10 ½ inches high and 6 ¼ inches across at the widest point. It has horned animals on three sides and the top attaches to the bottom with three legs that have hoofs on the bottom. The base is unmarked but likely was made by Meriden. There is a finial on the underside of the top that has a slight bend to it. There are no other issues. There is no damage to the bowl. This pair dates to the late 19th century. Additional photos can be provided upon request. Froo | Froo Cross Sell, Free Cross Sell, Cross promote, Marketing, listing Apps, Apps, Application
