For sale Nice Tight Original Ornate Mid East Sham Shir, Carried by many European Armies Navy- Seaman during & after Napoleanic wars. One piece horn grip, all brass fittings has fine raised floral decorations on both sides, mameluke guard appears to be silver, raised different bird on each side, Note: some of white edging gone by guard & pommel. Deep curved flat 29-1/4 " blade I believe is Damascus Wootz, small area of minor pitts, 2 tiny nicks, about 1-1/16 " wide blade. Inlaid in gold maker-date. 33 " overall length out of leather covered scabbard, super ornate fittings both sides of scabbard, has slot by throat so deep curved blade can go in.
