A most attractive antique shell thimble holder which holds a solid silver thimble.
The thimble is hallmarked for Birmingham 1927 but I believe the holder will be earlier, more likely to be Victorian.
Size; approx. 2.25 x 1.25 inch. In good condition apart from a small hole next to the brass rim. This does not affect the stability of the case and is quite stable. The case opens and closes well and the hinges are fine. A lovely sheen to the mother of pearl.
Thimble; Good Condition without holes or splits and the shape is not distorted. Approx. 1 inch high.
