Antique Navajo Rug--hand Woven--70" L X 40.5"w--great Condition--no Reserve For Sale
Offered is an antique Navajo Indian hand woven rug that measures 70 inches long by 40.5" wide from side to side. The piece is in great used condition...I see that perhaps 10 to 15 percent of the rug shows light bleeding from the red color on the piece (pics 7-10)...I also see some light yellow stains that measure about 4", as well as a smaller quarter-sized yellow spot on one area of the rug...One side of the piece shows this bleeding more than does the other side...Also, I do not think this classifies as damage, but I see that about 1" or so of the end of the rug shows a slightly lighter black color (pic. # 11)...This is fairly hard to photograph...Both ends as well show tiny bits of the wool warp through this black color...Please see the pictures provided...Otherwise, I see no additional bleeding, stains, tears, holes, rips, insect damage, signs of excessive use or abuse or damages of any kind on the rug. I see that all four corners of the piece show what looks to be a braided or twisted bit of fringe (pic. # 5), and I can see that the edges of the piece appear to be rolled or twisted as well. I know this piece is hand-woven as well, because I can see some slight differences in the weaving itself. . Please don't hesitate to E-Mail with any questions. Thanks and Good Luck.International buyers are welcome to offer on this and on all my other items...Please E-Mail for a specific shipping quote to your particular area of the world...This and everything else is dedicated to JEB from PBE...
