an edwardian oak tantalus with its three cut glass decanters its lock is working and we have the key, the tantalus has some history as it has a presentation plaque on both sides of the tantalus reading "From The Countess Of Warwick To Jack Brown" 1902, we know that .Frances Evelyn "Daisy" Greville the Countess Of Warwick and her husband were members of the Marlborough House Set,headed by Albert Edward, Prince of Wales
(the future Edward VII). Beginning in 1886, she became involved in
affairs with several powerful men, most notably the Prince of Wales. however who Jack Brown was we can only guess was he one of the marlborough house set??, certainly worth further research, and what a talking point at your parties did Edward VII use this tantalus??, it is in very good condition for the age some wear of the plate no damage to the decanters, see pictures,
the item measures approx 16 1/4 inches wide x 12 1/4 of an inch high,
