Antique Original Photo Victorian Lady Beautiful Frame Glass Post Mortem DEAD:
$75.00
Found this with a lot of other items 20+ years ago at an sale I attended. Sat in my craft closet with the intention of using the worn frame. I never did anything with it, so I\'m selling as I found it.I don\'t know anything about it but will describe it exactly as I see it.Looks like a photograph of a deceased woman being propped by a variety of linens and furniture during the Victorian era, judging by her attire. There is a matting but the picture is attached to the top of the matting. The lady is beautiful and looks young but probably mid-20s. She\'s on a tufted chair or sofa with several pillows behind her. and some draped fabric over the edge under her where her arm extends. The picture itself measures 6\" w x 4 3/4\" tall. The frame measures 11\" tall x 12 7/8\" wide. There is a name written under the photo to the right that is hard to read but my guess is : Edish M. Lannsbery. The frame is worn, still completely sturdy, but has damage along with the glass that has a residue on it as you can see in the photo. On the back it\'s being held in by a board of wood, that is also worn. I did peek under the board and found another name written on the back side of the matting as shown in the last photo. Mrs. Boals? Anyway, This is a lovely piece that would add elegance to any collection. All vintage/antique items I list are selling as is/where is. I do in depth descriptions to clearly define each item and expect that you have read all the details before purchasing.
