This is a beautiful ornate solid brassoil or kerosene lamp that was purchased at an antique sale in southEastern Pennsylvania. It has double arms (very rare) and two duplex burners - one burner does have a crack in the air draft screen. The shade holder and burner cover are missing. This lamp was made by P. E. Guerin out of New York who made many of the cast brass ornaments throughout the city. This company was well known forfine craftsmanship (as this lamp displays) and is still in existence today.
This lampincludes the 2 burners; however, chimneysare NOT included. Otherwise, the lamp is exactly as shown and described above. The total height of the lamp is 22 5/8". Base of the lamp is 6", and thearms span about 11"wide. Thelamp is marked "P.E.G." in two locations -at the cast ironweightand againon the underside of the cast brass base. The lampis very heavy and in excellent condition and will be a superb addition foran antique collector or would be a beautiful centerpiece for a Victorian style home. You will not come across another one like it for quite some time, if ever. The lamp will be disassembled for shipping. 2-11-B
