This set from the 1880’s has VERY GOOD silver plate with no dents, monograms or wear-through. The teapot measures 9” tall x 9 5/8” x 4 3/8” at the bottom; waste is 6 ½” x 7” x 4 ¾” base; cream and sugar are 4” tall x 3 ¼” at the base. The beautifully cast and embossed designs are boldly naturalistic with a riot of plant life and animal life vying for dominance. We see heron and birds of paradise and songbirds as well as spiders and their webs and snails among bamboo, fern and other foliage.
