Here is a gorgeous antique mezzotint engraving by artist Samuel Arlent Edwards (1861-1939).The print is titled \' Patience\' and is supposed to be Mrs. Drummond Smith after George Romney.It is matted and framed under glass. the engraving is signed at the bottom right and si personalized but I cannot make out what it says exactly. The frame is a beautiful gilt gold compo French style frame. On the back of the frame is the old framer\'s label that has the title of the engraving and the framer\'s address in new York.the entire piece measures 14 1/2 x 18 ins. and the print alone is about 12 x 15 ins. approx.I would date this artwork to the 1900-1920s time period.
